Jayliani Castanuela (12)  is a reporter and host for Hawk Talk Productions, where she creates fascinating episodes that dig into the mysterious world of true crime. She is a co-editor, along with Antwonae Haney, behind a crime podcast Criminal Theory.    Castanuela is an active member in her school's community. She’s a member of Link Crew where she supports and guides new students. She is also passionate about women's empowerment and takes part in activities to inspire young women. Castanuela is also a member of Student Council where she brings her ideas and skills to make a positive impact in the school community.    She also has a passion for volunteering. Any chance she gets, she loves to lend a helping hand to make a difference in her community.   Castanuela plans to attend Gateway Technical College where she will be majoring in Aviation & Aeronautics.
Antwonae Haney
Antwonae Haney, Podcast Staff
Antwonae Haney (12)  is the school's Hawk Talk podcasting crew member. She’s the editor of the show Criminal Theory.   Haney joined podcasting due to her interest in unsolved crime mysteries and more. She likes to talk about crazy, unbelievable cases that are appealing to her and what would interest her peers. Haney enjoys editing the clips and episodes of her show.    Haney is on the ITHSA Hawkettes dance team. She is one of the captains of the team. It is her first year on the team, and Haney has enjoyed it. She enjoys overcoming her anxiety and stepping out in front of the crowd.    Outside of school, Haney enjoys reading, playing the viola and watching TV. Her favorite show is a mystery show called Pretty Little Liars. She suggests anyone to watch it if they haven't already. She plans to attend college to get her Business and Interior Design degree and start her own business.    “I learned to get over anxiety and I had to do stuff that makes me uncomfortable,” Haney said. “I like podcasting because it's easy to make your platform. Learning about different cases with my co-anchor is entertaining.”
