About the Contributors
Andrea Lepley
Andrea Lepley, Yearbook Reference Editor/Podcast Staff
Andrea Lepley is a junior on The Blaze. This is her first year as a Reference editor in yearbook and a member of our new publication podcasting. In yearbook, Lepley helps organize who’s in the yearbook and arrange interviews within the staff. This helps Lepley not only keep things from getting scrambled, but gives her a opportunity to get involved with her fellow staff members work and learn what really goes into making the yearbook.    She loves the way journalism, photography and producing a podcast allows her to express and find creativity in herself that was never unleashed. “Funny enough, Communications wasn’t my first choice going into this school, but it was one of the best things that could've happened to me. I developed a love for journalism and met so many amazing and inspiring people that helped me through the years,” Lepley said.    Outside of school, Lepley plays in the school’s top jazz band and tries to attend any school concerts that occur. In her free time, she spends time with her 1 year old brother and is currently helping him to speak.    She can’t wait for new adventures coming her way and what she will learn and produce with the time being. “My biggest goal is to leave school with something I will be proud of and to carry all that I learned through my time of life,” Lepley said.
Juliana Mora
Juliana Mora, Yearbook Associate Editor/Podcast Staff
Juliana Mora (11)  is in her first year on the yearbook staff and she is currently associate editor. Mora helps the editor-in-chief oversee everything and help with communication. Mora also is on the staff of a new podcasting class and controls social media. Having the two classes is a great experience for Mora.   Mora found her interest in taking photos and design in a photojournalism/yearbook class offered her sophomore year which was an intro into learning on how to use a camera and media law and ethics.    Mora has worked on multiple spreads, but the one she is most proud of is her first spread ever done which was powderpuff. Mora’s favorite podcast she ever did with yearbook reference editor Andrea Lepley was Fall Trends.     In her free time she likes to go downtown and listen to music while walking her dog, Otis. She enjoys seeing different points of view of the world. She enjoys playing volleyball at family gatherings.    “I would thank my sister for introducing me to the Communications Academy at Indian Trail,” Mora said. “She knew what I liked before I even knew and pushed me towards publications.”
