At the football game against Bradford, Sep. 12, Nicholas Slater (12) films for WGTD, Wisconsin’s local radio and NPR affiliate. The director of Gateway, Scott Nelson, reached out to the newspaper and ITTV adviser, Daryl Strait, asking for students who were willing to go out and livestream the games. Slater was the first student to volunteer. “Always just stay curious and look for any opportunity that you can get,” Slater said. “You never know when one opportunity will snowball into another one, and it’s just all about building connections.”

Danielle Douglas, Yearbook Staff
Danielle Douglas, senior, is a photojournalist and a reporter for the yearbook. This is her second year in publications.
Douglas has always had a passion for writing, but later developed a strong passion for being a photographer after taking a photojournalism class in her sophomore year. She hopes to pursue a career in photography in the future.
Aside from yearbook, Douglas hangs out with her friends and her family, especially on the weekends. She also keeps herself busy with her job and playing with her dogs: Rusty and Timber. Music is also a very big part of her life.
“The feeling of looking at the photos you’ve taken and realizing how beautiful photography can be is indescribable,” Douglas said.
She wants to thank her parents and Mrs. Corbett for showing her never-ending support and pushing her to do her best.
