The IT journalism department was presented a combined 63 individual awards in the annual Kettle Moraine Press Association(KEMPA) Individual Contest on Friday, October 14 at the annual Fall Conference at UW Whitewater. The Blaze yearbook received 34 awards, The Pulse newspaper received 17 awards and IT-TV received 12 awards. In addition to the individual awards, The Blaze yearbook received an All KEMPA rating for 2022 yearbook. In addition to receiving awards, the students were able to attend engaging sessions to learn new journalism skills.
