Isabella Waldschmidt, Editor-in-Chief
Isabella Waldschmidt is a senior and currently in her third year on the staff. As Editor in Chief, Waldschmidt oversees all aspects of the publication from helping assist with meeting deadlines and making sure communication on the staff is at its best.
Waldschmidt expressed interest in journalism after taking Digital Publications, an intro to journalism course offered at Indian Trail her freshman year. She has accumulated numerous awards on her time in the publication including placing Honorable Mention in National Scholastic Press Association’s On-Site design competition.
Outside of school, Waldschmidt works two jobs and plays the piano. In her free time, she enjoys going on walks with her dog, Nova and listening to new music.
“I owe it all to my mom for helping me find one of my biggest passions in life,” Waldschmidt said. “Her pushing me to take Digital Publications really sparked my interest in the journalism field, and I don’t think I would be a part of the staff if she hadn’t suggested it.”
