Margot Torresin

Margot Torresin, Podcast Staff

Margot Torresin, senior, is working as a staff writer for Hawk Talk Productions during the 23-24 school year.

It’s a natural extension to who she is, since Torresin has been drawn to the pen all her life.  It was in elementary school where she first conjured short stories in the margins of her notebook, gradually expanding to screenplays, radio scripts, and poetry.

Currently working as a camera operator for Gateway’s WGTD network, Torresin broadcasts sports, commercials  and community events.  Torresin is also an avid filmmaker, and has received the Digital Design Award for Excellence for her short film, No Way Out.

In her free time, Torresin engages in her passions of photography and travel.  She enjoys taking photos of her friends and the world around her.

She has been accepted to the honors program at Columbia College Chicago, where she will attend next fall, studying film and television.

“If there’s one thing I’ve learned in this life it’s that if you see the beauty in something, you don’t wait for others to agree” Torresin said.
