The oldest rivalry in football runs through the NFC North, the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers. They faced off for the third time in the season on Saturday, Jan. 10, and in a match-up for the first round of the playoffs, the

second-seed Bears hosted the seventh-seed Packers on a snowy night in Chicago.
Going into this game this season, they had 1-1 records against one another, and the All-Time record is 109-98-6 in favor of the Packers. This wild-card game was the Bears first playoff appearance in five years, and the Packers first playoff game since they lost in the wildcard last year to the Eagles.
Cade Minatto was a die-hard Bears fan his entire life.
“It was one of the craziest things I’ve ever been to, or even witnessed,” Minatto said.
The rivalry and the atmosphere of the game kept many on the edge of their seats.
“The pure energy from inside the stadium when D.J. Moore scored that touchdown to take the lead, it was just simply unreal,” Minatto said.

While Bears fans around the world were celebrating, Packer fans were not too pleased with the outcome of the game. Many were blaming the kicker, Brandon McManus. In the game, he missed a crucial field goal that would have extended the Packers lead by 6 late in the fourth.
“McManus needs to be fed to the Wolves,” Luke Peltier Said, a lifetime fan of the Green Bay Packers.
The game ended 31-27 with the Chicago Bears coming out on top, eliminating the Packers from the NFL Playoffs, and the Bears advancing on to the Divisional Round. That score marked the largest comeback in Soldier Field history.
“Being a lifelong Bears fan, and not being able to see very much winning, to see us make a huge comeback in a playoff game, that’s just unbelievable,” Minatto said. “I’m excited to see how the rest of the playoffs go, and the revival of this amazing rivalry between the Bears and Packers.”
The feeling of this rivalry coming back was mutual between both Bear and Packer fans.
“It’s been so long since Chicago was a relevant team, I almost forgot what a true rivalry felt like. I’m itching for more of this,” Peltier said.
