As this year’s powderpuff game kicked off, Gabrielle Cappert (12) and Madelyn Johnson (12) chest bump, bringing class spirit to the field. The stands were filled with people cheering as students prepared to play. Despite the spirit, the seniors still took defeat and came in last place. Cappert was especially looking forward to meeting new people and connecting with classmates she didn’t know well. “I was feeling super excited for it,” said Cappert. “It’s so much fun being with all the girls in your grade, and not just your close friends.”
