Gianna Greno (12) maintains focus to hit the tennis ball over the net to her opponent. One of her motivations that kept her pushing was more of a mental factor rather than physical. “Being a competitive person, I like winning and I think then the challenges that come with it. The reward of winning is a great feeling, so I think just having that on the line is enough for me to go out there and be competitive.”

About the Contributor
Ariana Sanders, Yearbook Staff
Ariana Sanders, senior, is in her second year of being a photojournalist. Ever since she was young she had the dream of becoming a photographer. Whether that’s sports, forensic, or wildlife she has always wanted to be behind the camera. That being said, she joined yearbook working with cameras, editing and writing to get a head start on her dream.
Sanders is in her fourth and final year of the Business Academy. Her after school activities consist of being a barista at Starbucks, going to youth groups and taking herself on shopping trips.
Sanders’s main goals for the future are to graduate from high school and attend Carthage College in the fall. Although she has not yet chosen her major, she knows for sure that she wants to pursue her dream of being a photographer.
“I will do anything I possibly can to make sure I get the life I have always wanted since I was little,” Sanders said.
